Hot Runners Weekly Thursday Run

Wow..... good turnout today with 8 hot runners :- YS Yip, Stanley, Joseph, MJ, Edwin, YS Yun, HC and HT. Joseph on medication ran around the Rear gate running field area.

The other 7 hot-runners proceeded with the Breakaway Run arranged by HT along the 10km AMK-YCK route.
Edwin and YS were way ahead of the pack.

Stanley did extremely well for his very first 10km run, he can now confidently participant in any 10km Quarter Marathon race now. After joining the hot-runners group on the weekly runs since 4 weeks ago, his "beer" belly is totally gone and he looks much healthy and fit now.

Total actual distance covered is 10.3km.

I clocked in a time of 1:04:39.
All along the socks that I have used are thick tennis socks. Today is the very first time that I run with a proper running socks (Puma brand), compliment of HT Ng. The running socks are much thinner and lower height. Wow... the feeling and experience is totally different. I can feel the shoes and feel the feet much better. Will definitely help me in my future runs. Will go and buy a few pairs of running socks. Normally I will have some pain on the left heel when running 10km or more. Today, my left heel are ok but have slight pain on my right heel. This is the first time I have right heel pain, must be due to the new pair of socks which made me react differently from normal on the landing and pulling up the legs while running. The proper running socks will definitely help me in the Pose running method as I can feel the feet better.

HT and YS Yip clocked in around 1:15:00.

The time included all the traffic junction stops.

Well done ALL !! Cheers.....

Running with my daugther

Was very glad that my daughter was able to join me for a run together. Wife was busy with work and not able to join us today. Will make effort to get them running twice a week on Tuesday and Saturday. Will be great for them to control their weight and stay healthy.

Did 300m run and a 300m walk circuit for 3 time. My daughter was coping pretty well, this is the 2nd time that she is running with me. After that I continue for another 3.2km run around the neighbourhood. Was trying to keep heart rate at above 160bpm within Zone 4 (80% to 90% max HR).
